Well, UAL has nice conservative colors. Give a "thumbs-up" to Southwest for the "Shamu" and "Lone Star" colors, and I like a lot of America West's jets. Also, how about that American 40th Anniversary 757? Those retro-colors are awesome!!!

I saw the 757 retrojet at San Diego last night, between Boston flights. My favorite, though, has to be American's polished aluminum on the DC-10s, which are one of only two models that are totally silver. Most AA planes have grey tails.

My favorite paint scheme is Balair's, a swiss charter airline running at this moment 2 A 310-300 for flights from Zurich to Miami, Orlando,..., Bali, Sri Lanka...
As for BA or United, the lower part of the planes are painted in Blue representing the ocean, the wings are painted in a bright yellow : a very nice scheme
(several pix can be seen at airliners.net airline search: "balair A 310")
I also like the SIA 744 painted in "tropical Megatop" color scheme, and generally the BA colors.

The best looking MD-80s are either Alaska's or Midwest Express'. Personally, I just love the current Alaska scheme. I can't really figure out why, but I just love the script they do their lettering in.
