This very video (slideshow) is dedicated to one of the best and beautiful airliners in the world The Ilyushin IL-62.
It's my first attempt to make a slideshow so dont judge too hard.
Made with attitude and passion.

All the Pictures were taken from www.airliners.net
All the rights on these photos belong to their perspective owners (sorry guys just needed to share my love to this plane as a former crew member of that bird and had to use your pics and thank you for those photos)

Hope you like it

P.S. Hope will not be judged on the issue of using photos. Thanx a lot.

Looks great! Thanks for putting all these photos together in one place. I'm a bit partial to the IL-62 myself... even if it seems a little like a knockoff of my beloved VC-10  Smile.

I myself have gotten a bit partial towards the IL-62. Such a beautiful aircraft, it's a damn shame more and more of them are grounded. Maybe SU, the manufacturers from the old Soviet Union or privat people should start building themselves a fleet of these classic aircraft and do special flights, so the public can have a chance of flying on a classic aircraft, like LH does with their vintage Junkers through the Lufthansa Berlin Stiftung.

We should just look back and think about aviation during the heyday of any classic airliner. I already realise that I missed out, and maybe someday I hope to get my chance to fly the IL-62.

Nice video, IL62M.

I have flown the IL-62 only once, BKK-PRG with stops in DUB and BOM. Quite an experience. I was a bit weary of flying the bird, but it was an excellent flight. Too bad I haven't had the chance of doing it more often.

WTF? Stopping in DUB while flying BKK-PRG?

Exceptions confirm the rule.

IL62M, thanks for taking the time to put this together! I've always had a soft spot for the IL62, though I've never seen one up close  Sad .

Thank you, that very nicely done! I wanted to fly this aircraft and CU had a flight that went MVD/EZE/HAV and they had local traffic rights for this sector. Unfortunately, I didn't get to, however I saw the aircraft in MVD and it was immaculate. Also, some years ago, I saw one parked at Jimsair at SAN, and I thought, you're a long way from home basking in the California sun!

All the best,

Will

I think the Ukrain Gvnt still flies one around, I am almost positive there are a few more around as well, government ones and what not. Anyway thats a cool video/slide show. I am a big fan of the plane as well and have always wanted to see one in person, probably won't here in the US oh well. I did see an IL-76 in Bedford MA once doing a katrina relief flight for MCRossi or whatever its called! -Josh
