Qantas have announced that they will buy 30% of Pacific Airlines in Vietnam.

- The investment will be via the Vietnamese State Capital Investment Corporation
- QF intend to use this as a vehicle to extend Jetstar's growth in S.E. Asia
- QF will work with them to remodel their business and fleet away from 737-400s
- QF will have Board representation and key management positions

Interesting that QF Group are still going ahead with strategic investments and I'm left to ask will it be Jestar Asia or Jetstar as an entity that they will use

They used to have an A310? I believe VN is a very fierce competitor in the Vietnamese market (and I quite like the VN Fokker 70).

Curious to be buying an outhouse during a firesale of the main "dwelling". I wonder what the real story is behind all this "stuff".
