Hello
Is the A310 the largest aircraft to visit the SNA (Orange County, CA) airport? Does just FedEx and UPS operate them there? Also, any chance for 767 operations to SNA? As always, thanks in advance!

Does Airborne Express operate to SNA? They may bring a 762F there if they see it necessary.

Maybe UA would bring a 767 to SNA if they are restricted from having too many Californian flights from SFO, but IIRC 757s and A320s already operate on the route so I don't know about that.

UPS flies a 757, and yes the FedEx A310 is the largest aircraft that goes in there. It goes in on weekdays about 4:00-4:30 and leaves a 7:00. No 767 operate in there, they are too large, and no Airbourne express does not operate in there.

If the A310 can operate in there, then why is the 767-200 considered to be too large?!

The 767 is too large, the FedEx 310 is not full, it stop to and from SNA, so it is actually quite empty!

The 767 is not too large for SNA. In fact, at least two of the gates have a parking stripe for the 767. And, plans for rehabilitating one of the main taxiways to facilitate the plane should be afoot. The question that remains is who would bother sending it there.. maybe UPS.. or I could see American starting JFK service with it (as of a few years ago, Orange County had the highest concentration of AAdvantage members in the country).
