Last friday where released the latest weights as MX refurbished their 767´s for the EZE flights, the pulled out some Y seats, as C got 42 new sleeper seats and the Y seats where also changed and updated.

"Ejecutiva" has been really requested on that flight, also competition with AM will get harder on the route, maybe a smart movement.

I´ll try to get some pictures and post them, right now the Airbus fleet only XA-MXG/MXH/MXI have the new seats, Ejecutiva seats now have electric adjustment and integrated "massage", the seats look pretty good. It seems that the famous "Trones" will leave the fleet.

Saludos

It must mean that business class seats are selling extremely well and that MX understands that in order to keep itself positioned as the number one airline on the route it must offer the best product. This is just a thought but another thing that MX can do in order to keep its high-yield corporate passengers from even pondering about AM or AR, is to offer complimentary limo service from anywhere in BUE to EZE.

The business market on this flights will probably increase. The First Lady of Argentina just visited Mexico. She had conversations with President Calderon and several Mexican investors. I think over the next few years, more and more Mexican investors will head to Argentina and vice-versa. Plus Mexico joining Mercosur, only means more buiness travelers.

Indeed, the latest numbers showed that Ejecutiva is a complete success in the route, also here from MTY lot of conecting passengers -football players and relatives- and they pay pretty well.

Good for MX and its frequent flyers. I just have to wonder what is the term of the lease of the 763s... if I am not mistaken, those leases were due for termination at the end of this year.

Anyway, the addition of new seats in both cabins is very good news. Perhaps Logan can give us more info on the specs of the seats and whether MX is doing something about IFE too, but I hope MX's new widebody coach seats have adjustable headrests. I think headrests make a difference as they let you doze off without waking up to a sore neck and upper back.

By the way, why doesn't MX offer headphones and audio channels in all its narrowbody fleet?

Regards from SAT!

Next flights: MEX-GRU (AM 77E), GRU-GIG (JJ A320), SDU-CGH (G3 73H), GRU-MEX (JJ A332).

They have the Panasonic VideoBox with a selection of movies, TV shows, music videos and games. They are pretty nice and are usually available on flights over 3.5 hours.

They actually do. They offer a show produced by Travel Media. Originally they had shows for 30 and 60 minutes, but they never run it on 30 mins flights like MEX-VER. If flights are longer they show the 60 minutes long show and then they put a movie.
They have movies on all A318s, most A319s and some A320s (even some of the Mexibuses got a very old system (probably the same IB has on its first 320s)

Come fly Mexicana, to Mexico!

Way to go MX!!! Would someone please post the pictures? I had the privilege to travel on MXB so I'm wondering how the new seats on MXC/MXE will look like. MX needs to stay at the forefront of one of their most profitabe (and prestigious) routes. Thankfully, AM will not be using the 772 on these runs, otherwise MX might be SOL.

Good Luck MX!

I just did MEX-SAT with MX on Friday in an A320 and the seats did not have headphone jacks. I don't think anyone cared because we were airborne just 95 minutes, but I thought even in short flights you got audio entertainment. At least that's the case with AM.

I guess it is not because they don't want to, but because they don't have sufficient planes. In the long run, though, I guess AM will send 772s or 788s to EZE, and then the passengers will enjoy world-class entertainment

I always get the Mexibuses on the MEX-LAX route (don't know why? since it is a long route which should get the 320's with IFE) and they do not have flip up TV's or audio. Last one I flew was F-OHML on Friday and it did not have any kind of entertainment system...

Most probably you got a Mexibus A320 which are the oldest in MX's fleet...

seems that someone at AM read your mind..... from an insider I learned AM´s T7 will soon be visiting EZE at least seasonally.

So, what happened to the so much fanfarred New Clase Ejecutiva 2007. Is this it? Just for the MEX-EZE flights?

Unreliable. At least on the MEX-YUL, MEX-ORD, MEX-JFK, GDL-SFO you get a 50-50 chance than they were not "loaded" in the plane, or their batteries are dead. Same thing for the business class food and ammenity kits.

Question. The new C class retroftting affects the whole fleet or only the 767´s? What about the cramped, hard and almost unreclinable C seats in the 318s and 319s. On a 5 hrs A318 flight YUL-MEX I would give anything to be seated on one of the old "thrones".

we should live our lives as if we were really alive!!! H.M.

All the fleet, it started with MXG, MXH and MXI -soon airborne-.

The seats on MXH are full electric, recliner, and even give massage.

All planes, it started with the 767´s.

Also Y seats will be changed, like the ones on the A318, but more like the spaniars -UDU/UDT/MXD- a little bit taler and some headrest adjustment.
