Hi Guys,
Apart from my anger at Alterra for annoucing this charter on their webiste after it arrvied, it seems BPA1742 from MXP just landed at 4:55pm and is scheduled to leave in 40 minutes at 5:35pm back to MXP (that HAS to be wrong). I have been informed it is a B763 and it is parked in the remote ramp, can anyone PLEASE let me know what it is motive of arrival and if it is coming back, the most logical thing is that if its a passenger charter, the people its brining have to go back to MXP. If its part of some tour, it would be nice if it did an overnight but since Alterra has a departure then it means its going to leave sometime tonight.

I wonder if this could be some kind of route proving. There was speculation a few years back on costaricaaviation.com that BV might start service to SJO once their 787s arrive.

Hmm that's right but if it was this way, Alterra wouldn't display it. Remember Alterra info is given to people who want to check if their relatives arrived on time or are leaving on time, indicating there were passengers onboard. Also for travel agents and hotel people to have that information to pick up their passengers. I'll also be monitoring Photos.aero & Costaricaaviation.com for more info.
