I am flying CLE-ORD-SJU and back on course on 5/16 and 5/19 respectively. Anyhow I noticed the loads have been fairly high for both the ORD-SJU flight as well as the IAD-SJU flight. I thought SJU was pretty well controlled by AA on the legacy side?

Also so far I have been unable to get my mother and I seat assignments on the legs back from SJU-CLE. Any suggestions? Think we will be able to sit together? Could someone check how many it is oversold by? Flts 1676 & 442 on 5/19.

By looking at bookings at united.com:

1676: Y7 B7 E6 M6 U6 H5 Q2 V1 W0 T0 S0 K5 L0 G0
looks to be only a seat or two left before over booking...seat map shows seats available for elites in economy plus or back of the plane. You should be able to get two seats together in the last 3 rows if you call

442: F0 P0 A0 Y9 B9 E9 M9 U9 H9 Q9 V0 W0 T0 S0 K9 L0 G0
plenty of space on this flight except none in first class. I would guess around 20 seats or so. Same case as above, call and get seats together at the back of the plane.

United.com blocks out the last 3-5 rows for booking online if you're not elite. you can call and usually get into these seats if you're not elite.

good luck.

That is not information from united.com. You obviously have access to either travel agent or United FastAir information....which should not be shared here.

Yes, all the information is on united.com. you do have to have a FF # and password to change your setting to see the booking information. You also have to be elite to see the entire seat map without any seats blocked out. Other than that, there is really no trick to it.
