And ZE apparently has new owners, but no clue who they are. Hopefully they have overhauled the airline's management completely and appointed more competent people at the helm (should not be too difficult). I don't know but I think ZE would be wise to seek a merger with A Volar or Aviacsa. These two, however, would probably dismiss the idea... I don't know whether all stakeholders of ZE would be better off if the assets were sold and the airline liquidated.

Quoting Viasa (Reply 5): Azteca was only about a week on the ground and they are back in services.
Not true, ZE is still grounded and will still be. The 90 day period is running, ZE was grounded IIRC, March 6th, 2007.
Quoting Viasa (Reply 5): Republic Air's two B737 are long wfu and both are stored at San Luis Potosi (SLP)
Ain't true. XA-RBC is not a WFU, it is just missing its engines which are on mx. It was due to return to service these days but DGAC ground them as they did with ZE. XA-RBD was the one flying and currently at MEX having its "inspections" from DGAC in order to restart ops., they too, have a 90 days period.
As soon as i have time i will keep you updated with all carriers and extend what's going on at ZE.
