AA To Begin JFK-UVF

Effective 11/15, AA will begin 3x weekly nonstop service JFK-UVF.

This will nicely compliment the 2x weekly JFK-SKB flights.

Also JFK-LAS will begin on 9/5.

And AA is considering upgrading JFK-ORD from RJ to S80.

Nice growth for JFK. Nice to see the new terminal getting some more use!

Exactly....they can't just keep bringing in other carriers to rent gates...it belongs to them...time to take advantage of it

From a Caribbean perspective, this is good news since Air Jamaica ceased operating the route January 9th. St.Lucia is a serene, infatuating destination that captures every bit of Caribbean culture yes

This move by AA will hurt JM ever more on the JFK UVF run....But congrats to AA on the new service out of JFK.

JM serves UVF 3 times a week via BGI. I am sure of the days. The alternate days the flights are go to GND via BGI. Routing as follows

JFK/BGI/UVF/MBJ

MBJ/UVF/BGI/JFK

SImilar pattern for GND.

Bad news for JM though AA is a very competitive airlines. Lets see what wins this battle.

Good ol St. Lucia last time I was there we had 4 aborted take offs before the captain went back to the gate Silly

Ok.. all this is a little crazy.. Just spoke with JFK JM people.

JM still serves UVF as i said before, and the flights are via BGI, not nonstop but direct. Routing as I mentioned before on Mondays, Thursdays and Sunday.

While AA has the better routing ie nonstop, it will still face a little competition from JM.

Yes. The S80s will be back in JFK. In addition to the ORD flights one of the DFW flights will change back to an S80 as well.
