A B763 will be painted in the special 20th anniversary livery for service to China. It will enter service in August.

A competition was set up and amongst 6000 entries 2 have been chosen to be painted on the aeroplane. The winners are 12 and 4 years old. Nice work, very cute  Wink

Amenities on board will also be branded with pandas! These include meals (containers and the food itself!), pillows and headrest covers. Hosties will dress in a special panda apron during service!

If I hadn't seen the smaller panda pattern on the fuselage I never would have guessed it's a panda. A little too abstract and too much "negative space" for my tatse. These disappearing images are getting on my nerves. Mexicana, Delta's new tail widget with the tip cut off.

Hey! The Circumsised Widget! Think it'll catch on?

All you above bar Vasu -

The scheme was designed by a 4 year old kid. Do you tell your 4 year old son/daughter that his/her drawings are stupid? You are all so unbelievably mean.

Coincidental I assume - you all display the same flag.

I think that's the coolest logojet I've ever seen!! Love it, very silly and enchantingly youthful.

Come from mid-west dairy country? It may be just that you associate B&W spots with Fresian cows (unlike north Asians). Apologies, going from one stereotyping to another.

Unbelievably mean would be painting a baseball bat with the same scheme and beating the child to death for his/her affront to artisitic expression. The whole panda as designed is quite charming actually, the abstract application on the fuselage does not come across well to my eyes.

And about that flag comment....

I think this scheme does not fit to categories such as "beautiful" or "gorgeous" - but it is a really special (it is a special livery!). I think ANA is courageous doing this!

Is that a boy-panda, or does it just have its tail between its legs?  Smile

Nice to see something different and unusual.

Well I don't hope that the food itsself will be Panda (themed)... poor little things  sarcastic

The livery is ooooooooooooK, but not the best I've ever seen... thanks to God it's not Chinese-Pokemon or something...

Looked like a cow at first but if they put a panda on the engine it would make things clear from the outside. I nice idea anyway and I'm sure it will be a hit with the spotters!

If you are referring to the Panda on the F/A's apron, you're looking at the Panda's back. It's facing her, looking up.
Pretty cool design.

I think this is just awesome. Pandas need all the attention they can get, even after a record 12 being born in one year at the same facility, they need our help more than ever.
