N826AW ferried from Roswell to Phoenix this afternoon. All America West A319s are now in new US colors. Also there will be two Arizona theme aircraft until the fall, the other being N901AW a Boeing 757.

My personal opinion is that Southwest's Arizona One, is better looking as is N901AW. Looks like the state planes will come from one cookie cutter design, i.e. the Nevada plane is the same format so should there be another state, one will know in advance what it will look like.

While it is nice, I will miss the 757 with "City of Phoenix" under the Captain's window and "City of Tucson" under the Co-pilot's window. Maybe they could add those titles to this plane in the same locations. Just to keep the spirit.

Ahhh, yes, I remember pushing that plane out on its way to ROW... The bland white kind of turns me off, especially seeing how 901 literally glows in the sunlight. At least we still have that one for a few more months!

I agree, I think the original AWA Arizona plane and Southwest's Arizona One were/are much better; the flags on both just seem to have so much more energy. The big area of plain white fuselage on N826AW is just, well, dull.
I like the Pennsylvania flag, it's got some cool colors in it. Just a quick question, though. Does anyone know, or is there something floating around, that tells of WN's plans for painting other aircraft in special colors. With such a large operation at MDW, I think it would be cool to see an "Illinois One". Granted, I am a little biased because I'm from Illinois. Any info would be appreciated.
