US withdrew their 727s from mainline operations in 1995. US' Shuttle service still flew 727s (ex-Trump Shuttle planes with reg nos. ending in TS) until either 1999 or 2000.

The 727s were withdrawn from mainline operation on June 30, 1995 and the Shuttle 727s were retired on October 27, 2000. Hope that answers your question.

They were just barely ahead of my time as a pilot but I loved them. The Shuttle birds were my favorite plane on earth. In my home office I have a model 727 from Shuttle that I bought on Ebay. I dream of those days returning. What a dream it would be to fly LGA-DCA-BOS-LGA all day long in a 727.


There is plenty of room for Gods animals, right next to the mashed potatoes!
