Embraer delivered its first EMBRAER 190 jet to Taipei-based Mandarin Airlines. The company has acquired eight E-Jets as the core aircraft of its fleet, especially for domestic and short-haul intra-regional markets. A unique touch involved presenting the Chairman of Mandarin Airlines, Michael Lo, with a painting of its new airplane, which was done, live, in the presence of authorities, guests, and the press.

Mandarin’s E-Jets will be operated under leases with GE Commercial Aviation Services (GECAS) and will come from the existing GECAS backlog. The total order includes deliveries of another seven jets, EMBRAER 190 or EMBRAER 195.
The EMBRAER 190 delivered today has a single-class configuration consisting of 104 seats with a 31-inch pitch (79 cm). In addition to replacing its older fleet of jets, the carrier will use the new-generation E-Jets to develop markets throughout Asia.

On March 31, 2007, Embraer had logged 630 firm orders and 558 options for the E-Jets, totaling 1,188 aircraft to 32 customers worldwide.  Smile  Smile

Mandarin Airlines has ordered the E-Jet in August 2006, so only 9 months untill the delivery....

Is the MSN 19000081 right?

Ugly paint scheme, IMHO. Monday will see the delivery of another ugly scheme: EgyptAir's E-170.

Wow nice livery on a nice regional jet!! It does remind me of the new Jet Airways livery but it is still very nice. I like the new Mandarin livery, Congrats to both Mandarin and Embraer!

Ugly paint scheme,

What is so *UGLY* about it?
Before coming to your post I was thinking to myself that Mandarin probably has one of the nicest liveries in either of the Chinas.

Yes....
Very elegant and no nonsense. Chinese liveries tend to be very busy, or very plain, with no middle ground. Maybe it's a cultural thing I don't understand.....but I do like this Mandarin bird a lot!

Every one has an opinion. Unfortunately we can't argue only regret.  bigthumbsup
As Stirling wrote, Mandarin probably has one of the nicest liveries in either of the Chinas.
And by the way, I don't know if you were there during the event and if you'll be in EMBRAER on monday. But yestarday, after lunch I manage to see the EgyptAir livery, and it's much better than this one. Really colorful and modern. I really liked  Wink

Bellow a detail of the winglet and tail. I really liked the detail in the winglet.
