Hi IB has just anounce a profit of 12,2 million Euros in the first Quarter against a loss of 44,9 million for the same period last year. Just goes to show that we must be doing something right. By the way Spanair anounce a 41 million loss for the same period. 61% more than last year. These are the people trying to sell the catalan Gov. that if they are given the south terminal they will do transatlanctic fligts. MY The thing is will politicians really believe that?
By the way does anybody know if Vueling has anounced their usual Quartely LOSS
These are my principles but if you don't like them I have others

Quoting Bullpitt (Thread starter): By the way does anybody know if Vueling has anounced their usual Quartely LOSS
No, it has not been announced for Q1, which probably means that the financial result is not as good as expected. Only the spectacular increase in passenger figures (the traffic data) has been announced for the first months, which shows an increase of 81 %, compared to the same period in 2006. Apparently the target price of the Vueling shares should increase during the next months, even up to 50 Eur for each share (currently it is at 37.90 Eur), according to the financial analysts (but actually the financial results should be considered as well, and not just the traffic figures).

That's right traffic figures can mean more profits or more loss. As you have said I imagine they are going to show an even bigger loss than last year. The thing is when they go bust who is going to pick up the pieces (The Spanish tax payers as usual?) Many senior post in the airline in the last few months have either been invited to leave (have been fired) or have fled the airline, WHY? Only time will tell. But if I had money in the airline I'd be taking it out very quickly.

Well, in my opinion Vueling shareholders are too confident even with the current lack of information.
Regarding Iberia's profit, it has been achieved due to the implementation of several measures of the current Plan Director, which has been focused in the cost reductions and also an improvement in the personnel expenses.
You can check more details about Iberia's results (expenses, incomes, Ebitda) in the following article (in Spanish):
