I work at an office on the old RAAF base out the back of Canberra Airport, and yesterday noticed an Atlas Air 747 sitting on the tarmac.
It was only here for a few hours, as it came in after i started, and had left before i finished for the day.
I was unable to take a photo, because it didn't stay long, and I wasn't able to see the registration on it.
I was wondering if anyone on here could provide any information as to why it was in Canberra, as it is a rare thing for us to get 747's that aren't flying dignitaries, and I am pretty sure that no dignitary would chose to fly on a freighter.

It was a diversion due Sydney fog. Brisbane got about 13 diverted flights, Canberra got just the one!
Coming into winter, it wouldn't surprise me that you see a few other unexpected visitors from Melbourne and Sydney. And when it gets foggy in Canberra, the reverse happens!
