If you arrive IST on time, you should have no problem making your BEY flight.

1 hour should be more than enough.... If of course your flight from LHR doesn't arrive late...

Once you disembark from your flight, you will walk towards the passport control. Just before this point, there is a transit desk and a direct passage to the departures area. You will only have to go through security control at your departure gate, not before that. Make sure you get checked in all the way to BEY.

if everything goes well IST is an airport where you could make a 20-25min. connection very well. Of course only from international to international. international to domestic is another long and old story

Will you be making a trip report for these flights? Connecting in IST is simple. The website of the airporthas a terminal map if you want to study it before you leave. You will make it to BEY just fine.

As others above have already mentioned, connecting in IST should not be a problem.
I liked there airport a lot. It's very clean and IST gets a lot of interesting airlines and aircraft. A very nice combination of Western and Soviet/Russian aircraft.
I just hope you don't look like Usher. A customs agent just might ask to have his photo taken with you.  Wink
