On December 7th, the Canadian Transportation Agency approved RootsAir's request to begin selling seats between Canada and the US - even though they do not have a licence for the service. There were three conditions to the approval:
1 - no flights can be operated until the appropriate licence is issued;
2 - RootsAir must arrange alternative transportation at no additional charge if they do not receive a licence;
3 - passengers, shippers must be notified that services are subject to government approval. Ads must mention this, too.
The approval is actually for Skyservice Airlines Inc. carrying on business as Skyservice and/or RootsAir.
