Is this a good thing or bad thing?

Parchim Airport is located just outside the city of Schwerin in northern Germany, close to Hamburg and Berlin.

If you are close to both Hamburg and Berlin, you're close to neither. You are in the middle of nowhere. Berlin and Hamburg to Parchim is the same distance as Southampton to London or New York to Philadelphia or Osaka to Nagoya.

Pang's company will provide air cargo services between Xinzheng airport in Zhengzhou and Schwerin

One doesn't need to buy up an airport to start flying aircraft into it. I wonder what the logic is.

Hmm....maybe too much disposable income. Nothing better to do with the money.

The mainland Chinese are on a buying spree.

Off topic here, I was at a Sotheby's auction in HKG and it was a site to see. Typically, in an auction you raise the paddle and lower it once they call you. NOT HERE!! They just keep their paddle up until they get what they want. People from Europe and USA were complaining how crazy the mainland Chinese were in overpaying. Because of this, Sotheby's HKG has surpassed London as their top auction house.

Good, hopefully this means that taxpayers will now get back the millions of Euros that were invested to turn this former military field into a commercial airport with a large business park, the latter of which never happened except lots of empty streets with extrawide sidewalks  Yeah sure . Not to mention that the main road to the airport has more potholes than the entire US interstate system...

Sooooo true!  yes

Another case of "Let's turn any provincial shithole into a mega stylish business park" It won't work .. get it? Just because some narrow minded polticians in badly sized suits with awful taste see their city as the center of the business universe doesn't mean millions of tax Marks and Euros need to be poured into miles of unused infrastructure.
sorry for the raaaant .. I had to vent myself!
