Pilots Layovers

I was wondering how long are layovers are if you fly a dc10 or a 757 or 737 for aa nw and dealt this will really help me to see if i want to be a pilot also dose any body know if comair academy is a good place to go and are the any better schools and what are there email thanks! for any info

Some you get in a 8:00 at night and out 8:00 the next morning. While some you might spend 3 days there. It depends on many things!

My friend flies ERJ-145s for Continental Express and he gets 4 day layovers in Aguascalientes.

Some have said that Comair is not much of a flight school. They guarantee you a job interview, but not the actual job. If you're applying there just to get a job at Delta, you're going there for the wrong reason. Search for post on flight school. It was in the other section "technical" in the same forum. It listed a few flight schools that have terrible reps and had users back up their claims.

I don't fly for any of the airlines you mentioned, nor am I a pilot, to start with. However, I do have a fairly good view on layovers. Good enough to say it's probably not very wise to base your career choice on the sole element of how long layovers may be.
Few businesses change as much as the aviation industry. There used to be layovers going up to a week (and over). With the growing competition, most of that belongs to the past (especially for scheduled flights).

In a nutshell, if you're going to pursue a career in aviation, you better have interests other than the layovers. IMHO, that is.
