Yes! The 757 is certified to flying trans-atlantic routes, as far as I know regarding Portugal Continental flies with 757, TWA also, Canada 3000 also to Faro and Lisbon, Air Transat either and when I was ready to leave JFK 2 years ago I saw a BA 757 arriving, I was quite surprised but latter I knew that they had a flight from Glasgow to JFK.

In fact, ETOPS 180-certified 757-200's are VERY popular planes for trans-Atlantic operations. A number of Inclusive Tour (IT) operators based in Europe use the 752 to fly vacationers from Europe to as far as MCO and MIA non-stop for vacation trips.
I do know that CO uses some ETOPS-certified 752's for trans-Atlantic routes currently (CLE-LGW being one).
