Must be... CO flies with the 757 between AMS and New York as well as BRU and New York.
Also Canada 3000 uses the 757 to certain european destinations

Hi!

Yes! The 757 is certified to flying trans-atlantic routes, as far as I know regarding Portugal Continental flies with 757, TWA also, Canada 3000 also to Faro and Lisbon, Air Transat either and when I was ready to leave JFK 2 years ago I saw a BA 757 arriving, I was quite surprised but latter I knew that they had a flight from Glasgow to JFK.
regards!

BA had 757 flights from BHX and GLA to JFK, but these were later dropped. Air Transat also operate 757s across the Atlantic as well as Royal Aviation.

In fact, ETOPS 180-certified 757-200's are VERY popular planes for trans-Atlantic operations. A number of Inclusive Tour (IT) operators based in Europe use the 752 to fly vacationers from Europe to as far as MCO and MIA non-stop for vacation trips.

I do know that CO uses some ETOPS-certified 752's for trans-Atlantic routes currently (CLE-LGW being one).

Currently there are 8 routes served by the 757 to Europe with Continental. Routes with a * are slated to be replaced with the 762.

EWR-SNN-DUB
EWR-GLA
EWR-BHX
EWR-STN (coming soon)
EWR-BRU*
EWR-AMS*
EWR-LIS
CLE-LGW*

The international-configured 757s are equipped with 16 BusinessFirst seats and 156 coach seats. There are PTVs in BizFirst and flip-down LCD monitors in the main cabin.
