Not surprisingly, Thai are currently evaluating the 787 & A350XWB.

First to be replaced will be their fleet of twenty A300-600R's, followed by their 777's, 737's and older A330's. The airline has ordered A380s to replace at least part of their 747 fleet.

Thai Airways International is drawing up a new business plan that should include proposals for the replacement of dozens of older aircraft in its fleet.

At a recent board meeting directors tasked management with drawing up a 10-year corporate plan covering the 2008-2017 period. The plan will be presented to the board in August.

This should be an interesting order in my opinion, considering the range of aircraft to be replaced.

Thanks for sharing.
IMO this order will go to Boeing, the 787 is just the better A300 Replacement.
Though i will miss the lovely Thai A300.  Sad

Since TG is a mostly two-class operation, the A350 would allow some expansion and would provide eventual replacement options for their A345/A346/773A fleet where the 787 will currently not - and won't in the future in the case of the A346 or 773A unless a 787-11 model is produced.

Could be a mixed-fleet of 787-8s and 787-9s with A350-900s and A350-1000s...
