Title says it all. TP is supposed to receive some additional A330's from Austrian this month but I've yet to see any indication that they are coming. Are there any news on that front?

So does that confirm all four A332's are coming to Tap? I know that three were secured, while the fourth was still being negotiated. If the forth is indeed confirmed, it is excellent news for Tap and it's effort to re-new and expand its longhaul fleet.

HI KA!

You're THE MAN!!!! Thanks for your dates, so we are getting the "full package" from Austrian, all 4 A330-200's! Now we will have Swiss + Austrian A330-200's....that's quite nice, two countries that I fully admire, also their airlines!!!
regards

At least the data shown above is from a very reliable source at my former employer. So I believe the fourth A332 is also going to TP. Which makes alot of sense, of course. The problem might have been that TP had to negotiate -LAP through ILFC as it wasn´t owned by OS. Though the configuration is identical.

Happy to see TP steering in the right direction...

mmh, I must come back to LIS one of these days, haven´t been there for a while due to business constraints, but some friends are starting to really wait...

Wings and CV990,

As TP will need only 2 A332 to run the new flights to Brazil (5x weekly LIS-BSB-LIS, 1x more weekly LIS-GRU-LIS plus 5x more weekly LIS-GIG-LIS), it's a confirmation that 2 A310 will be replaced by A332's ?

Any rumor about further service addition on long haul ?

Does TP use their A332s to AMS during high season (this summer June)?

Hi!

I think the Airbus A310-300 will only start to phase-out when TP receives their factory new A330-200's. The first A330 is expected to arrived on the last quarter of 2007, and then the other 4 will arrive until 1st./2nd. quarter 2008, so I think we still have a few more months with the 310! Regarding the operation of the A330 to AMS, if TP have a big load of passengers why not? I know that TP although used mainly their wide-bodies on long-haul services it has been quite common once a while to fly them around Europe, so I would expect that in AMS, ORY, LHR, FRA and even ZRH.

I don't think so. What I heard is that the additional aircraft will be used to increase frequencies to Africa and that they're also looking at N.America.
On a slightly unrelated note. This past week a number of high profile politicians and business people took a trip to Russia to promoted the increasing business ties between the 2 countries. I have a feeling that we will be seeing flights to Russia pretty soon.

Regarding the widebodies use in Europe. They are frequently used to LHR and ORY. Those are TP's largest destinations in Europe and the relatively short trip make it possible to utilize the aircraft in between their runs to Brazil.

Some changes:

- LIS-GIG will run 12 weekly flights with A332 (and not 7 A343 + 5 A332) as soon as the 5 additional frequencies begin by the end of this month.
- LIS-EWR to be upgraded during summer from A332 to A343.

Yes. 5 times weekly non-stop from LIS + one direct from LIS stopping in FNC + another non-stop from OPO. Although i think during Winter TP only operates 6 weekly instead of daily to CCS.

I think you still have a couple of years before that happens.
