I's scheduled to leave tomorrow afternoon out of NY La Guardia LGA bound for Chicago connecting on an international flight to Brussels. I don't know what's going to happen, but O'Hare is expected to reopen tomorrow so I shouldn't have a problem. I'll tell you everything about my trip, I'll make a trip report before the end of the week.

I checked the FAA site @1430 EST and there was no mention of ORD closing. Are you saying it "has" closed, or it's "going to close"? Also, how do you know this? Are you at ORD, or live in the Chicago area?

I'm listening to ORD approach right now, and flights are getting in, but as you can imagine, it's dicey. ATIS has landings on 4R, and departures on 4L and 32R, UA and AA have cancelled most of their departures though, so the airport is currently open-barely.

There are still some flights arriving/departing at ORD. Very few though. I'm not sure where at CNN it says anything about ORD closing, but I checked the flight status of a few AA/UA flights and it seems as if aroud 40% are still making it in or out. We'll see if this keeps up though.

The New York area had dense fog Monday morning that caused long, LONG delays at LGA. For some reason, the
delays were minimal at EWR and JFK. Flights out of LGA
were delayed for hours largely due to the ORD situation
but also due to weather around our area as well. Usually, it is Newark that is most severely impacted by
a weather problem.
