I have a quick question sorry if this has already been asked I did not see it. What are the current routes skywest fly the CRJ 900's on for Delta connection? When did they start getting those?

Thanks Mike

I know that soon the CR9 will leave the SEA route and will be flying to BHM. A hell of a long RJ flight; one I'll be taking in October.  bigthumbsup

3:00 and 4:00, respectively. These flights would be faster if it wasn't for all of those mainline aircraft slowing them down enroute.  Wink

Changes as of next week:
Add BHM, YYC, BNA, PSC, OAK, SAN (Sat. only), SAT, as well as DFW, PHX, LAX as AV8AJET mentioned. PIT will be replaced by mainline (MD-90). AUS will go to CR7's. SEA will loose its only CR9 flight to a CR7.

Back on April 29 I saw a Skywest CRJ900 (N815SK) in full Delta Connection colours here at YVR, operating the flight from Salt Lake. This route is now being flown by mainline MD-90s (great for me, as I've had never had a chance to photograph them before...) for the summer, as the cruise ship season brings an increase in tourists to Vancouver. Since smaller equipment usually returns in the fall, does anyone know if the CRJ900s will be put back on the YVR route?

When will OO operate them for UA. If they did, would routes such as SBA-ORD work out in terms of range?

That would be entirely up to UA. As far as I know, UA has shown little/no interest in having the CRJ9 in the United Express fleet. If they did, it could definitely be a way to expand on their ExPlus program.

Personally, I think RJs are more comfortable and have better service than most mainline aircraft. Maybe I've just been lucky on some of my flights, but the more I fly, the more this idea proves itself.

I'm quite fond of regional jets, actually. I'm all for CRJ-900s flying these routes.

Um...Add SLC-BNA starting the 7th. From a MD90/CR7.
And I'm glad A/C 821 is based in ATL because it's freakin ugly. It looks like skywest was inspiried by rhythmic gymnists for the livery.

I wonder if a CR9 on SLC-JAX would work for DL/OO. I'm surprised that DL has not started that route already TBO.

Well doesn't that make me sad! I fly to AUS about once a month, and I've really been enjoying the first class in the CRJ-900. It's really quite comfortable. I just flew home from AUS last night to SLC in F... I'll for sure miss this plane.

If you are 6'3, 230 lbs like myself, you find RJ's to be most uncomfortable. Usually I prefer not to look like the Hunchback of Notre Dame walking through a plane.

I have been scheduled to fly on the E-170 about 6 times in my life (even though I fly 120k miles a year), and 4 of those six have been cancelled (and had to take a later 737, 319, 320, 757) or the other two I changed on purpose to an earlier 737. There is something about me and the E-170 that just do not get along!

But from what I imagine, E-Jets are much more comfortable than CRJ's.

Ah, well, I suppose if I was a bit larger than 5'9, 130 lbs, I'd be complaining too.  Wink

The thing that gets me the most is the part that I can not stand up, that kills it for me.
