Does anyone know why the YVR-NRT route in October is not listed in the AC schedule as a 777 service anymore, but as a 763? I thought in October it was supposed to do the YVR-NRT route as well. It looks like the 777 is only doing YYZ-NRT on the Japan routes.

I think they are trying to concentrate a lot of 777 out of YYZ.
I read on another forum that the flight was going online as the T7 for about one month and reverts back to an A340. And I think they are starting to sell a few A340's and possibly the B767 would come on the route?
I know that when the NRT becomes the T7 for about a month, then KIX would become an A340 for a month. So I think there is going to be one T7 at YVR for the NRT flight and a couple A340's flying ICN, KIX, and HKG for the month.

Although not in the sked yet the 777 is supposed to stay in Calgary though the winter on the LHR route to compete with BA. Like I say this in not confirmed it only shows up to the end of the summer sked which is something like Oct. 27ish.

Well being going through some of the routes and found a few things.
YYZ-NRT starting June 4 will be a 77W until September
YYZ-HKG is using the A345 until July 31 then becoming 77L
YYZ-PEK is utilizing A343, 77W, and 77L throughout the summer sched.
YYZ-PVG is A343 until July 31 when the A345 comes on since 77L takes over HKG
and also found that starting Dec.13/07 YYZ-SYD will change from YYZ-YVR-HNL-SYD with a 763 to
YYZ-YVR-SYD with a 77W, and the HNL route from YYZ will be YYZ-YVR-HNL with a 767.
Got tired of searching through the system so that's all for now.

Good to hear. Although it's probably way more comfortable to have the 777 on that long YVR to NRT flight, the Business Class on the 777 out of Calgary will be a huge incentive to choose AC over BA for me when going to LHR (although the BA flight 777 is not bad either).

Quoting Olympus69 (Reply 5): Actually AC001 on June 2 and AC002 on June 3 were flown by C-FITU - those are YYZ-NRT and NRT-YYZ.
Not that anyone really cares - it was actually C-FITL.
AC's third 777 was at YYZ yesterday. I'm getting confused with the delivery sequence - is this one a 772LR?

It's a 777-300ER, and arrived into YYZ in the wee hours of June 2nd, and was on display at the AC Hanger for an employee event that day.
Not sure why they've "picked on" YVR-NRT, but think that the sale of the 2 A345's to TAM in October, while hoped for, was unexpected, and as such some network and aircraft juggling was required.
