Hi, was just looking at some videos, and noticed how relaxed the commentart was on this crash video, is it live commentary, or are they commenting on the video, after it took place?

It appears the plane was attempting to take off, anyone shed any light on the incident?

It appears to have happened in Krim, Ukraine (Pyobitelskaya Semka, whatever that means).

Did it not say in the video description that only 3 of the 20 people onboard were injured?

I'm not sure. Iirc there was a delegation with a high-ranking politician on board. And, as astonishing as it may seem, apparently nobody died in this crash.

An extended version of this video has been on the net for numerous months.

Define "best crash video". Most enthralling? Best photography? Most informative? Least or most loss of life, or loss of aircraft?

If VS773ER is correct, then the page does mention 44 fatalities..

Anyone else in the forum that can shed more light on this crash?

The person describing it says noone died - and refers to himself as part of the flight, perhaps a crew member?

That is the the crash discussed in the thread, that ChicagoFlyer refers to. Russian Navy TU-134 crashed during takeoff from Gvardeyskoe Airbase in Crimea, Ukraine. Carrying Chief Commander of Russian Navy Adm. Masorin and his staff on board. Cause - multiple birdstrikes in the left engine. The video commentator (one of the pilots) mentions the flock of gulls. No casualties, only a few burns and minor injuries.
