Weber told a news conference that Star Alliance members have agreed among themselves that Lufthansa will participate in the bidding for a stake in Thai Airways, while Singapore Airlines Ltd. bids for a stake in Air India.

whoever has the money and the most to gain I guess..... Star Alliance came in to help Air Canada during the bidding war... I'd very much expect the same for partner Thai ....
