I am at the NW terminal right now and there has been no DC-10's here all day. NW has had no flights thru here all late this afternoon and not a single plane laying over now as compared to the usual 4-5 DC-9's and a new Airbus flight.

I bet the 10s were diversions from somewhere in the system. Although DFW seems a poor choice based on all the ice their.
Looks like DTW was back to regular operations by about midday today.
MEM looks bad for tomorrow with the majority of the flights before 7pm already cancelled. I check a couple of other carriers out of MEM and they seem to have done the same thing. I think it is a good idea. better to have the passengers warm at home or in a hotel than in an airport that is overcrowded and in the middle of an ice storm.
