I might be belonging to the few, but that toothpaste color kind'a grows on me... the more I look at it the more I like it and it is most impressive in real life, I like the way lighting makes it look different Of course in this case it could be that the 777LR simply looks great in every scheme...

I've always liked it. It's glacier blue. Anyone who's ever looked down a crack in a glacier knows what I'm talking about. It's that color. And since Canada is known for snow and maple leafs, seems to work for me!
Plus it's not euro-white!
Of all the things to worry about... the Wookie has no pants.

No matter how much I am fund of the 773ER, I have to agree! The 777LR is even more beautiful, I think this could be because those massive GE hair-driers look much more massive compared to the shorter fuselage.

AIRLINERS.NET CREW PHOTO SCREENER
Just to clarify, those aren't my shots. I just screened them and added the news banner and thought I would share.

a bit on the lazy and tired side right now...but...can someone answer this for me.
the B777LR looks kinda stubby to me. does the fusalage have the same dementions as the B777-200er?

don't worry, you're not alone. it took me a while to get used to it also and now i like it. see 'em all the time in LAX when i travel for leisure and also in JFK when my working flights take me through there.

Quoting Brilondon (Reply 12): They have been used on domestic routes between YYZ and YUL, as well as the YYZ and LHR. They have also been doing touch and goes in YXU.
The 3 777W's are now all on their regular rotations of YYZ-LHR/FRA/NRT. Believe that the Rapidair YYZ/YUL "proving" flights are done.

I'd would agree on that....the new AI livery would look just awesome! But still waiting..

Wow! She's a beauty! My good friends north of the border have a lot to be proud of in Air Canada's fleet updates.
Good luck AC!
Clickhappy, thanks for the photos! A real treat this morning.

Hopefully we're known for maple leaves and not maple leafs. Most Canadians can't stand those maple leafs, who are more commonly referred to as make beleafs, maple losers or maple golfers.
The toothpaste livery does look less bad on the widebodies than on the narrowbodies. Sure hope the 77L does some touch-and-gos at YOW like the 77Ws did.

I like the glacier blue for sure. Such a change from Euro-White. But, let's face it, the 777-200 has a bunch of so much nicer liveries. (I'm not making much difference among a regular 772 and the 77L, the only difference being the wingtip):

Less bad? Is that close to OK, nice or good?
I've always like the new AC livery. Maybe because others dislike it so much or because it is somewhat unique.
In any case, it will be nice to see the AC fleet renewed over the next few years so the worst of the 767's can be retired. Although none of AC's 767's were as shabby as one of Canadian Airlines's DC10's right near the end of their corporate life.

26 Clickhappy: LOL. That's kind of like saying, "She was good looking, except she had bad skin, terrible teeth, and she was cross-eyed."
27 Gr8Circle: That suits me.....AI and AC, my two "national" airlines, so to speak, being #1 and #2 in looks....
29 Gr8Circle: In short, we're in for some awesome "livery" competition....
30 Viscount724: The additional wingspan and slightly larger engines aren't always that obvious when you see an aircraft at some distance at airports. I was just curi
31 YOW: Yeah if you are bridging a 737 Classic, you have to be careful not to knock out the pitot tubes.
32 Jcf5002: Or the taller landing gear / wing stance, or (for many) the winglets, or the lack of eyebrow windows for later NGs. Another good identifying quality
33 OGGFBORefueler: The AC "toothpaste" livery is nice although we'll probably never see their T7's at OGG. I have looked at the "toothpaste" color up close and it's just
34 GlobalATL: Air Canada looks so much better in the BOEING livery
35 ZBBYLW: Also the maple laughs are another one... Anyhow... I really think the 77L looks stubby, probably because all we have seen were the 77W but man those
36 SkyTaxi: While I really like the AC livery, the fact that it's on a Boeing makes it even sweeter. The Toronto Maple Leaves?
37 Legoguy: Well if you couldn't see the wingtips or engine and have problems distinguishing between all the types of 777 then you can read what type of model it
38 ACDC8: I figure that DL will have gone through 2 more livery changes by then ....
39 YOW: If they knew how to smell, err, I mean spell, that's what they would be. I guess that would be close to OK, but not quite, lol. [Edited 2007-06-15 1
