Hi all, was at DUS yesterday and a BA 767 (G-BZHA) bound for Heathrow aborted it's take-off and rolled back around to in front of the maintenance hangars. I think it took off around 3 or 4 hours later.
Just wondering if anybody knew what happened?
Cheers.

No idea, haven't heard anything about this at work yet; however, I can confirm that over the past few weeks, many of BA's short-haul 767s have been experiencing engine problems, and this is not an islolated case. Some of the 767s' engines have been swapped with those from the 744 fleet.

I took a few pics myself. They were Rolls Royce engines from what I could see. Not too familiar with the noises they are supposed to make but they were soooo loud and whiny when it came into the apron when it first arrived.

Could have been an engine surge, it happens on those RR engines on BA's 767 and 744s, I experienced one on BNLB back from Cape Town last year. Aborted take off at 100knts... Fun!

Just a possibility.

I'll post my pics of it coming back onto the apron tomorrow, I have no pics of the actual aborted take-off.
