well...I think its more to do with local NYC based passengers wanting UA to Asia and Europe using the JFK IAD as the international feeder segment and wanting the premium cabin or the E+ product on ExPlus. Please don't take this wrong, I am not claiming that UA is actively stealing international passengers off nonstops from NYC but there is a loyalty (however large or small) to UA in the NYC area. Additionally, as everyone knows there are some passengers that choose their flights 100% based on price and for the one off where UA has the discount inventory available and others don't UA will get the business.

They also have some Mesa 700s on the 2:25 departure, but the ground people @ LGA said there is no chance they will see the 170's, a shame, I might try connecting JFK/IAD in lieu of LGA-ORD/DEN
