Continental has announced it'll enter strategic partnership with China Southern, soon-to-be Skyteam member.

First phase is September 2007, covering FFP, and 2nd phase from November 2007, codeshare deal.

Both will codeshare on each other's trans-pacific flight and selected domestic routes.

A logical move, SkyTeam partner KL already has ties with CZ (codeshares etc.); others probably too.

At the same time, China Southern will place its code (CZ*) on Continental flights connecting with China Southern at Los Angeles.

Houston, New York, and Cleveland are givens.... be interesting to see if they tie up with Hawaii or Mexico though.

Support Airliners.net - become a First Class Member!

It was only a matter of time before SZ started to code share etc with Sky Team members prior to it becoming a full member - good to see though.
