Hi all,

I just wanted to share this nice article on the Iran Air service Teheran - Damascus - Caracas. The article appeared in the German Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung.

Unfortunately, it's available in German only:

Also check out http://www.iran-air.de for a couple of long inflight videos.

Interesting article. Current plane is a 747SP, but the article also says that it is planned that another airline will overtake the flight with a boring A340-300... Boring.

Yes, really a pity that Conviasa might soon be operative on that route - that was also one of the main reasons for us to fly that route! It is, for sure, the last 747SP pax revenue transatlantic route and was a dream to fly on. Sebastian and me were the travellers interviewed for that FAZ article.

Enjoy while you can, I can just say!!

I wouldn't hold my breath. What's going on with their A340 anyway?

It was just certified by the INAC, so it will be flying around really but really soon!
