All regionals are short right now. I believ AE just lowerd their minimums to 500/100

It'll cost you about 60k if you go to a place like All ATPs. Be careful what you wish for, age 65 will kick in before you finish your ratings and things can change overnight.

I believe the age 65 comment was to mean that there would no longer be a shortage for another 8-10 years because all the late 50+ year old pilots would no longer be retiring. Not so much that it would take you 40+ years to get all your license. I also am a firm believer that you will see a lot of problems with violations and incidents if you try and hire your entire new hire class with only 250 hours and no "real life" flying experience!

The insider mins are about that. I'm trying to get my commercial done in the duchess as quick as I can. I am also looking at getting on as soon as I can, end of july would be great. That and I'm going to apply to PSA and TSA. Yeah, I know they aren't the best places but heck, tell me something about a poor regional carrier I don't know. But it would just buy me time to until I could get on with ExpressJet.

The regionals are hiring a fair amount of pilots, the problem is that they are loosing a bunch to the nationals and fractionals. My friend just finished indoc at NetJets, 6 regional guys in class with him.
