Is United ordering 777 IGW's? I read somewhere on this forum that United had ordered nine additional 777 IGW's. I don't think United even has a 777 IGW, so how could it be ordering additional ones? Please, correct me if I'm wrong.

I may be wrong, but I believe United is exchanging some 747-400 orders for the nine new 777-200IGWs. While United's early 777 deliveries were not the IGW version, their more recent ones have been; I know they use IGWs from LAX and SFO to London.

I operate N205UA, one of our newer aircraft.

Ever heard the terms "A Model" and "B Model" used in reference to the 772? The A aircraft is the baseline aircraft, and the B aircraft is the IGW. UAL was the launch customer for both.
