Yes. They are suppose to be in the air by the first of the year. And they also said via an e-mail that they will be blue. What I didnt ask is if they are replacing anything or just adding to the fleet. If anyone knows this please reply. thanks.

Do you guys know if the new 737s will come equipped with IFEs like CO and DL 737s do? Or will it be a bear bones no frills setup?

Thanks!

Aren't they supposed to be replacing the 727's?? That's what I thought. And they are going to be blue and orange. Very colorfull and nice-looking.

No, they will be replacing DC-10's with them. Load factors on their DC-10's are usually under 60%, and the 737-800 can fly long routes too. The 727's have proved to be very reliable for Sun Country and will be around for a while. They average an age of 23.2 years, so they an operate for another couple of years or so.

Geez, can we go two weeks without this subject coming up again and again and again? Use the search function people, it will answer a lot of your questions.

The 737-800 is a replacement for the 727, not the DC-10. When the DC-10's are retired, Sun Country will be an all 737-800 operator. It is not the company's intention to replace the DC-10's.
