In an email announcing their recent win of the JD Power award for Customer satisfaction Jetblue uses this line

"We love to take care of our customers and it shows! From our award-winning service to our inflight entertainment, we work hard to provide you a great JetBlue Experience on every single flight. Here are just a few exciting things you can enjoy when you fly JetBlue to any of our 50-plus destinations"

Subtle dig towards DL??  stirthepot

Delta actually did well in that survey just tagging behind Continental if I recall correctly. Sounds like they are going against the NWA, US Airways, and United's who are a little behind on their IFE. American as well for that matter.

No doubt that JetBlue is trying to make a point with the tag-line and give Delta a dig, but the question is: is Delta concerned with what JetBLue is doing these days? When was the last time DL used the "We Love to Fly and it Shows" tagline anyway?

Instead of a slogan that actually has something to do with the product they're selling I thought they fell in love with the meaningless "Good Goes Around" or even more meaningless The NEW Delta.

I'll leave out my presonal dig to DL about the "We Love to Fly" and false/misleading marketing....

It's definitely a dig on Delta....The point their trying to make is that the DL experience isn't consistent in the fact that your plane may have IFE or it may not....The play on the slogan only reinforces that they're targeting DL...plus DL is their biggest competitor.

Marketing 101 - find the weakness in your competitor's product (or superiority in yours) and advertise/target it.

In this instance - the "new" D E L T A experience isn't consistent - only on select flights...

Nothing more, nothing less.

LOL. I don't think it's that obvious. I'm sure the public doesn't find it obvious at all. Perhaps just airline employees and management from both companies.

In any case, it's much more subtle than DL's press release touting their better on-time performance at ATL than FL. Now that was funny - and quite dumb.

I have flown Delta a ton the last 4 years. The in-flight experience has absolutely improved.
