I know a lot of pilots don't make big bucks. But there are a lot of posters on airliners.net that claim they work for DL, AA, UA, etc, and just by the numbers these guys should be making $125000++++.... What do you guys spend all that money on? Cars, houses, boats, ?? I know a senior UA pilot who's hobby is to goto Russia and buy old Migs and fix them up. What do you pilots do?

I'm not a Pilot but maybe some of them put money in the bank for the kids' college? Give some to the Woman for spending? I'm sure not all are extravagant globe-trotting spenders.

$125,000... wow.. they should just retire..

back to reality. I don't know where you live, but $125,000 salary in the DC area will barely be enough to make the mortgage on a nice home in the suburbs and a couple Toyota's... and maybe have enough $$ left over for the kids tuition.

It's not bad $$, but it's not enough to have a fleet of Porsche's in the driveway.

Listen folks, $130K in the EWR base is not a lot of money!

First let me explane to you folks that this is the 34% tax bracket, you can do the math, and its not fuzzy!

If someone has good tax advice, bring it on!

You'll find that the tax packages by both Bush, and Gore left this income level out of most relief plans.

So after taxes, kids college, one house, one wife, and two cars, I'm like everyone else, with my disposeable income.
