A Delta flight from LGA was forced to divert to PHL after a passenger did not receive his apple juice quick enough.
Few thoughts, then the news article below.
1) What the hell is wrong with people?
2) Why did the plane reach NC almost 9 hours late, how long does it take to remove a person?
From FOX News http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,286941,00.html
A thirsty airplane passenger en route to North Carolina Tuesday caused enough fuss about not getting his apple juice in time that the plane had to land in order to calm him down, FOX affliliate WTFX in Philadelphia reported.

Isn't it ironic that when jetBlue flight returned to the gate some months ago to deplane a family whose cranky toddler couldn't/wouldn't be calmed down, jetBlue was lambasted far and wide, yet when another airline decides to actually divert a flight for this kind of situation (and severely inconveniencing a plane full of passengers in the process) the whole event is pretty much off the public's radar.... (..and I don't work for jetBlue)

I feel sorry for all the passengers that were on this flight - nothing like having to divert because of some stupid bratty 4 year-old! Absolutely ridiculous! I bet quite a few on the flight were business passengers also, considering that the flight was from LGA.

It was AirTran that returned to the gate for a baby that wouldn't stand up during takeoff.. They couldn't take off with a passenger standing, per FARs.
Noone really knows what happens here, and I'm glad Comair isn't getting any possibly undeserved bad PR because of this. May have been a power tripping FA, or it may have been a kid going crazy running all over the aircraft..

Quoting MSPGUY (Reply 1): Heard about this on the radio, it was a 4 year old throwing a fit. Then the passengers had to spend the night in Philly. They also mentioned no charges filed against the parents!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!!
I read the report on the Fox News link provided above and it says nothing about a 4 year old....it mentions a male passenger who started swearing at FA's because his drink was delayed....
Quoting OPNLguy (Reply 8): My mistake, sorry... I still have trouble believing a flight was diverted for this kind of thing, and as someone else said, there has to be something more to this...
I agree with this....there was obviously something more to the story, possibly some violence or form of air-rage that would have prompted the Captain to take this decision....
