Effective 08/08/07 Allegiant Airlines will lose one flight each to the following cities ABE-SBN-RFD-TSY-PIA. Even with this loss of five flights per week they will still have thirty five to the following locations TSY (3) GSP (3) TOL (2) DSM (2) LAN (2) PIA (2) RFD (3) CHA (3) ROA (2) SBN (2) ABE (4) SGF (2) FWA (2) GSO (3). Loads are very heavy and some flight delays are occurring due to under staffed customer service personnel on the counter.

As a former 'Noogan.....how have the flights to CHA been performing....

I used to love my AA 727 to BNA and my EA metro express to ATL!

How about GSO's loads, I hope they do well and are able to add a few more days a week!

GSO has a lot of full boats, don't look for anything till December.

I heard from someone in PIA that flys the route quite often. It was told to him, by an airport employee, that the reduction would occur only during the hurrican and off season. I dont understand the hurricane season part but the flight will be restored in the winter months.

Peoria takes a hiatus during September and October. It returns late October/early November but only twice weekly.

I suspect the addition of Orlando has something to do with the flight going twice weekly.

if assumptions could fly, airliners.net would be the world's busiest airport

Yes, I hear in these two months we will lose ten more flights per week at PIE and then should get them all back in December. Word is that we will have four birds based here for the 2007/2008 winter..

Incidently it looks like the airport at PIE will be seeing some significant improvements.

Interesting...woudl this imply increased frequencies or a new destination entirely?  Wink

Both to be sure. The fall is deffenetly a shoulder season along the Florida west coast and loads really fall off until mid December. They will time further expansion of the flight base and operation until that time.

Don't look for anything as in an addition or removal of a flight?

Also, I've been curious about how the station at ROA is doing.

I think it's being suggested that a new flight will be added at GSO around December. At least that's the way I read it.
