Quoting Rampkontroler (Reply 3): According to this, it was chartered by the owner of the Atlanta Falcons for a personal vacation:
For our international friends, the Falcons are an NFL francise and their owner is Arthur Blank. He was a cofounder of the Home Depot chain of stores, which are extremely sucessful and headquartered in Atlanta, but has since divested himself of interest in that company. He and the other founder, Bernie Marcus, are well respected for their philanthropy in Atlanta.

I was staying at the Renaissance Concourse Wed-Fri of this week, and saw the MaxJet plane land somewhere around 7:30 or so Wed evening. And I had the luck of also seeing it depart the following morning before I headed out to visit friends. My room was at the east end of the hotel, so my view was almost directly in line with Mercury Air Center's ramp. There was an Omni Air International DC10 parked at the westernmost section of ramp the entire time of my stay. Was nice to see KE & AF with 744's in ATL. Surprised to see KLM A330 depart from runway 8R Wed afternoon. Most of the Atlantic or Pacific bound flights depart from 9L/27R. It lifted off with about 2,000ft or so remaining, I'd say, so only an 8,000ft takeoff roll.
