This morning I caught the latest video from T.I., "You Know What It Is", which features Wyclef Jean. The video shows T.I., Wyclef, and their entourage flying in a private jet - a Boeing 737-200. Thankfully for us aircraft geeks, there is a shot of T.I. rapping with the registration number of the jet in clear view - N902WG.
This jet, an ex-Malaysian, ex-COPA, ex-Access Air bird, is the private jet of Florida lawyer Willie Gary. For $11 Million, he transformed the interior of the jet into a 32-seat luxury business jet, complete with its own private bedroom, kitchen, and 18-karat gold sink. The plane is named "Wings of Justice II", as the lawyer also owns a Gulfstream named "Wings of Justice I".
Towards the end of the video, there is a shot of T.I. rapping from the pilot's chair, with Wyclef playing the bass from the first officer's chair, in what to me plausibly appears to be N902WG, due to the paint scheme and the eyebrow windows. Is there any clues I'm missing that would lead you to believe that it's not a 737-200 that they're performing in?
Is this the first time this jet has appeared on film or television?
