My UA contacts just told me an interesting stat for the Sunday: 1554 flights--and no cancellations! Does anyone remember the last time it happened? I'd guess on an average day the airline cancels 10 or so mainline flights...
To complete all of them, they took delays of course, but I was impressed that while my relatively short flight RDU-ORD was leaving 2 hours late, and did not taxi out particularly fast, we still made up 1/2 hour in flight. (I did not mind because I was supposed to be flying on a later Mesa CRJ and caught the earlier flight thanks to the delay). Incidentally, I heard that Mesa had no cancels either which may be even more remarkable! (Skywest for once did not do so well)
I am sure good weather had a lot to do with that, but I wonder how other airlines did yesterday...

'Tis remarkable, but it sounds kind of sad when you realize that the fact that they flew what they said they'd fly (with delays) is a big deal.
