Lufthansa reached a deal with Russia's AiRUnion which will covers free ticket sales, codesharing, FFP programmes partnerships.

This coincides with the announcement of moving Moscow operation from Sheremetyevo to Domodedovo, which the latter is a hub of AiRUnion.

AiRUnion entered similar agreement with Austrian which went into effect since Feb.

Kinda proves the deduction that DME will be StarAlliance hub, and SVO SkyTeam. Any StarAlliance carriers left at SVO?

This should be a blow to rumours that S7 was eyed to join StarAlliance, or ?

SK and LO sofar will stay at SVO (at least no announcement for change to DME yet).

a S7 A319 is standing at LH hangars at FRA for more than 3 weeks now. I suppose they have already some agreements with each other.

This appears to be more in the maintenance sector rather than actually flying pax around ?
With only 7 A319 in S7's fleet, how likely is it that they outsourced mx ?

Looks like Russia is finally becoming interesting with the living standards on the rise and more and more people travelling for business or pleasure. With AiRUnion talking to LH (StarAlliance), S7 talking to BA (OneWorld) and SU already inside SkyTeam it looks like the cards are on the table... only remains to be seen what Pulkovo/Rossiya will do... Of course there's still plenty of other carriers around to make a fourth alliance....but that's thought for another thread.

Transaero only cooperates with bmi, not Austrian.

No, they do. From July, 3.

Nothing stated on Austrian or english Transaero website, but here it is in Russian:

Nothing was shown on OS info page on GDS. Even if it's unilateral/one-way codeshare, OS will still mention it.

It could be an interline deal rather than a codeshare on a strategic partnership.
