Allegiant To Fly PSP-BLI Again, But Not PSP-LAS

Media reports from Palm Springs say that Allegiant will again operate seasonal flights to BLI this winter but has decided not to fly the PSP-LAS route.

No word yet on the frequency for PSP-BLI, last year I believe it was 2X per week.

Also no rumors yet if G4 will add another destination from PSP this winter or not.

What trying to beat SKYBUS to the obscure route of the week award?

??

Allegiant flew BLI-PSP for the winter last year and had good success. They do quite well out of BLI due to Canadians crossing the border for lower fares.

They have tried LAS-PSP in winter and it does only OK, not what I would think they could do elsewhere with the aircraft.

By the way, currently they operate BLI-RNO 3X per week along with the BLI-LAS 10X per week. Are those obscure too?  Wink

Seemed to work fine before...there's probably enough SoCal traffic outta BLI and surroundings to work. It might possibly be a well-timed schedule, too. Nothing else for the plane to do besides sit in BLI, why not?

This is great news for those of us who fly out of PSP regularly. I only wish it was a bit more frequent.

How often does a plane for Allegiant sit up in Bellingham?

Quoting FATFlyer (Reply 2):
not what I would think they could do elsewhere with the aircraft.

Increased frequencies are coming this winter from Las Vegas to several markets. I've got 3 cities with increased frequencies thus far with more to come. Some cities will see daily Las Vegas service for a period of 4 weeks or more during the winter and holidays.

Lately it seems we have a tail RON in BLI every night, at least Thursday through Sunday nights when I'm working. And LAN, and FWA, and PIA, and...
