Looks like this story is not known outside Kazakhstan...

On July, 7 Saga Airlines A310 (TC-SGB) operated for Atlasjet from Almaty, Kazakhstan to Antalya, Turkey discontinued take-off after engine failure. 213 on board. According to witnesses plane started to brake all ready after rotation. It's resulted to fire of the brake pads.

After stop evacuation started, during evacuation 6 people were seriously injured (2 kids among them).

Kazakh press claiming that 2 out of 6 stewardess were under alcoholic intoxication, 3 out of 6 escape slides worked and information from flight recorders where deleted by pilots.

Now the plane is in Almaty, with flat tires on the far stand.

I don't think that's possible so easily.

Exceptions confirm the rule.

Some pilots whom I know saying that there are some way to do it on western types.

May be not all recorders, but only voice recorder was erased.

I imagine the data from the incident would be deleted by just leaving the recorder on.

After rotation?

Yes. Shortly after front gear was lifted.

ALA have one of the longest runways in the world (14427 Feet), so it was enough to stop - plane stoped on the runway.
