if you look at the age of the Lufthansa-fleet, most planes will be quiet young (under 10 years), but they still have these more than 20 year old 747-200. (some are 23 years old).
I like that, but why didn`t LH replace that planes??
Are they modified in some way (new engines??) so they have a good performance? Is the size so perfect to LH?
Or will they all replaced in a few years by A340s? (which I don`t hope).

TK, the 747-200 have a little more passenger-capacity than the 340-600.
On the other hand, the 340-600 will have more range.
I hope, LH buys the 340-600 only in addition to the 742, not as replacement for them.
