Looks like the flights from DAL to STL and SAT have been dropped. Seems they moved the flights over to AUS and MCI, Sabre shows 8 flights from DAL to MCI and 8 flights from DAL to AUS effective Sept 05

Took them long enough.

Anybody know how much many they lost on these routes? That'd be an interesting figure.

Well that certainly doesn't require the three gates they've got.....

Not considering much else, it would seem to fit well into B6 operations...

4 extra AUS flights? That seems like an awful way to utilize their gate they just recieved.

Not all of us can be heroes, some of us can only stand on the sidewalk and clap as they go by.

Eventually it will be the complete opposite of a loss.

AA isn't going to give up those gates, even if they sit empty for the next 20 years. The last thing they want is more LCC competition in the Metroplex. IMO, they never wanted to fly to DAL anyway, they just wanted to make sure no one else does.

I still say that American should take advantage of the Embraers and fluy to places like ORD, MIA, and LAX from DAL. Although it may hurt the performance of the routes over at DFW, at least they wouldn't lose as much money as they are now.

I suspect that is why they pulled the STL flights?

Trans States was doing the flying for a number of these daily flights, using Eagle leased ERJ's, flying them at risk. I wonder ... well ... hell, you just wonder...

Oh well.

A lot of people prefer to flying on AA to make connection thru DFW or ORD or MIA. Many people do not make the DAL their final destination unless few people do but do not forget that many people flying to texas or make connection in texas has to go thru DAL, so bascially DAL has most of WN flights. (correct me if I am wrong)

I absolutely agree HOWEVER... the board at Love (and the mayor) are not in bed with AA, like they are at DFW.
So if AA starts underutilizing, I suspect the board already knows exactly who they want in that terminal, and an eviction (though it might lead to lawsuits from litigation-happy AMR Corp) would be just their ticket.
