Hey Guys

I was at my sister place in Westerville witch is norther suburb of columbus to night around 7 sitting out on her portch. At some point i looked up and there was a 747-200/300 right abouve us on final to CMH. Does any of you know if it was a charter or a cargo. The tail was red and Orange with the top being red then the orange then red again. I was really surprised to see it. If any one knows what it was and ware it came from let me know.

Thanks
Flyingjeep

Hmmm....I've seen Evergreen International 747s in Columbus before, but I thought that was Rickenbacker, not Port Columbus airport. But they are green anyway, so certainly not the same aircraft.

The only thing I can come up with is that it might have been Kitty Hawk (cargo) flight 823 ANC to LCK. Landed at LCK at 723p around the time you mentioned. No 747's showing up arriving CMH around the time you specified. LCK gets cargo widebodies quite frequently from Fedex and other carriers. Go to flightaware.com and type in KCMH for Port Columbus Arrivals/Departures or KLCK for Rickenbacker arrivals/departures in the airport code section.
