Quote: Air Madagascar is expecting a year-over-year passenger increase of least 10% in 2007, CEO Ulrich Link told ATWOnline. "About one-third of our total of 600,000 passengers comes from international routes," Link said, adding that the carrier achieves load factors of up to 95% on some international services. For example, he said it enjoyed a "perfect" start on its new weekly Antananarivo-Marseille service.
MD is looking to expand on that success with increased strategic cooperations and is contemplating joining SkyTeam as an affiliate

Quoting DL777LAX (Reply 1): what routes do they fly that would add any sort of value to sky team? KQ imo is much better positioned to make connections throughout Africa.
KQ does not fly to Antananarivo (and domestic malagasy services of course), but that's about it indeed. With the rumour of AH and now Air Madagascar joining skyteam, in addition to KQ and KLM's and AF's large African networks, it seems like Skyteam is going to be Nr.1 in Africa.
